Venice, Loft

This project was fun to create because the client loves nostalgia.  They love loft living and contemporary architecture but they wanted to bring some of their own vintage pieces in the new design.

Our goal was to create a cozy environment. The walls were bright white, so we took them down a notch by painting them a warm grey, by Sherwin-Williams.

Bringing the outdoors in we captured the leaves of the tree off the second-floor balcony and color matching for very custom leather seating.

The client didn't want to wait 6 months for the place to be fully designed.  We decided it was best if they purchased items that were in stock or off the floor. The bookshelves are from Anthropologie and dining chairs and tables from HD Buttercup.  The chairs came in the fabric that didn't work with my vision.   I was inspired by the tree leaves and the beauty of those colors, so I had leather dyed to match.

Hunting for unique one-of-a-kind pieces is easy because I always find something cool at Dos Gallos.

Keeping existing RH floor lamps my client had from her previous home works nicely in this new space.
