Bold Spanish

Born out of a blend of Mediterranean cultures and historical influences, spanish design is vibrant, colorful, and comfortable. Elements such as carved wood doors, pottery patterned tiles, wrought iron, and wood furniture come together to create a relaxing rejuvenating, and creative spaces.

This Spanish-style home was custom-built from the ground up. I was grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this project even if my role was just for the decoration phase.

Many of the items in the home were from the client’s storage unit and they wanted their existing pieces implemented into their new home.

My client was interviewed by South Bay magazine and this article tells you a little bit about what their lifestyle is like and why they chose the items and layout they did.

Spanish tile on the floor imitates the feeling of an antique rug. Adding a coral chandelier is a playful way to say this family lives at the beach and does not take themselves too seriously.
Existing Restoration Hardware furniture
Existing Restoration Hardware furniture was given a new twist by adding bright Ikat pillows. Cost Plus, Home goods, and Pier One were just some of the places we purchased the Moroccan hanging lights.

The client loved adding antiques, and this red sofa gives the room a pop of color and a bold statement that says they are not afraid to be noticed. The outdoor TV room is where the family likes to hang out with friends and entertain often.
