In 2010, Studio Blu’s concierge relocation service was born at the request of an adored Interior design client. Adrienne says, ” It is common practice to pack up my client’s home while they are undergoing their remodel or waiting for their custom home to be built. Being organized, working under a deadline, communicating and managing a dozen subcontractors is something we do daily. We never really thought it would be considered a concierge service until we moved my design client across country. We love that we can now fill the void and provide clients a wonderful turnkey move experience. “

Graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the International Academy of Design and Technology; a CIDA-accredited design school located in Chicago’s Loop. Her major was interior architecture and her minor, and her first love was theater.

After successfully working in the art department for Warner Bros., Universal Pictures, and Sony Pictures, Adrienne returned to her interior design roots. In 1999, she started Studio Blu, Inc., a Marina Del Rey boutique interior design firm specializing in high-end custom homes and remodels.

My client was offered a top position at Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta. She expressed to me that the move from Manhattan Beach, California across the country with her family was too overwhelming for her. “I’ve been down this road before,” she said. “It was hard enough to pack and unpack before marriage and kids; now, it’s too much.”

Deb needed to concentrate on what really mattered, which was her family. She needed to start fresh in her new senior position. She asked me to take care of every part of the move. “Adrienne, we have worked together before, I trust you now and to make this new home as wonderful as my last home.” My client decided to take herself completely out of the picture and took the family on a Hawaiian vacation. What is Concierge Relocation

A move-in concierge service, often referred to simply as “move-in concierge” or “utility connection concierge” streamlines the transition into a new home. Instead of juggling extra phone calls and internet searches to find providers, our service streamlines these tasks into a simplified process.

We start the process with an evaluation of your inventory. What is moving with you, going to storage, given to charity, or being sold will help determine the hours and manpower that is needed for your project.
Selling your items is a very common request and we manage all aspects of the sale for a small fee.

We measure your new home and create ¼” scaled Auto Cad drawings which will indicate the perfect placement of your existing rugs, furniture, art, and accessories. These plans will be approved and signed off by you before the move starts.

Yes, we move and place food items where you wish. We will remove and dispose of any items that exceed the expiration date. If you wish we will even make sure your favorites are stocked at your time of arrival.

Of course, we create a “Placement Plan” indicating the new placement for every item in your home. This placement plan will be pre-approved by you before the packing takes place. You will never have to ask yourself the question, “Where does this go?”

This is a complete book indicating each and everything you have in your current home, or in storage etc. We measure and photo document each item, which shows its current condition. Packing day we photograph the piece again before it is wrapped or crated, and the piece is photographed yet again at the time of unpacking placement at your new home. This is extremely useful for insurance purposes and making sure each and every item has been carefully cared for from start to finish.

We prefer to start and complete our jobs, but under approved conditions, we will agree to a local moving company starting the relocation process. The Principal Designer and Job Captain will be required to fly to your current city, create the “Evaluation”, so we can propose an accurate bid. Once given the green light we will create an “ Inventory package” and proceed as necessary.

Yes, we will not only find you the perfect apartment, or home, you will have everything you need when you arrive. Your home will be turn-key ready with kitchen and bath supplies, furniture, the mattress of your choice, TV set up and so on. Your new place will be in the style you love and all will be preapproved, and on the budget. These items will either be bought or rented due to time constraints.

We are pet parents as well, so we know what it takes to make sure the family pet is transported with love and kindness. Your automobiles will be transported to your destination and detailed upon arrival.

Unfortunately, we cannot give an accurate quote over the phone. We need to see the property to gather a complete evaluation of the current home. This information will give us an understanding of the logistics involved. Stairs, antiques, pianos, wine collections and so on will determine the complexity of the move. We are priced a little more than a typical moving company because we do so much more than the typical!

Yes, go have fun! Some of our clients do go on vacation while their new home is being installed. Depending on how large a move the set up could take 3-7 days.

Our Clients arrive at their new home with only their suitcases, a tan and a smile. We do ask for communication via phone or email while you are away. We like to give a progress report during the move and answer any questions you may have to assure you all is going well.
