Outdoor living space with Spanish-Moroccan style Interior Decoration in Hermosa Beach
Spanish Fun
This Spanish-style home was custom-built from the ground up. I was grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this project even if my role was just for the decoration phase.
Many of the items in the home were from the client's storage unit and they wanted their existing pieces implemented into their new home.
My client was interviewed by South Bay magazine and this article tells you a little bit about what their lifestyle is like and why they chose the items and layout they did.

“We love to entertain, whether it’s a small dinner party for eight or 130 people for Super Bowl Sunday.” Top: The living room opens to a Moroccan-style outdoor living area via glass accordion doors. It’s also Kari’s favorite space on the property. “We wanted it to be inviting and fun to hang out there.”
Spanish tile on the floor imitates the feeling of an antique rug.
Adding a coral chandelier is a playful way to say this family lives at the beach and does not take themselves too seriously.

The client loved adding antiques, and this red sofa gives the room a pop of color and a bold statement that says they are not afraid to be noticed.
The outdoor TV room is where the family likes to hang out with friends and entertain often.
Existing Restoration Hardware furniture was given a new twist by adding bright Ikat pillows.
Cost Plus, Home goods, and Pier One were just some of the places we purchased the Moroccan hanging lights.
