DTLA Met lofts

This project was so much fun to create.  The loft was designed for Dwell on Design and we were featured in Dwell Magazine.  

 

So many wonderful vendors contributed by loaning their pieces for us to showcase.  I also had the pleasure to be interviewed by Nate Burkus and the Editor of Dwell magazine.

The budget was tight but we made it work with retail lighting from CB2.

I was so grateful to use my very favorite Chinese furniture vendors Pin Dynasty furniture. They have wonderful antiques and one-of-a-kind items. This table is over 100 years old and was the perfect piece for a twist to the modern kitchen.

Custom shelves also act as art.

The wallpaper was made from a gift.  I asked my artist friend if I could make his art into wallpaper. So glad he agreed!


Astek produced the paper.

I wanted something different for the bedroom, so I went to Carolina hanging beds!

This wicker B&B Italia Chair was purchased from Modern resale.  

 

The wood idea made this custom cabinet for me to go with an antique alter table I used as a towel bench.
